Thanks. Jacob from e13ctron sent me this color and the prototype plastic back to test out. The black chrome was sent to see if I thought there'd be any interest in this color. He has also done up a few mirror/silver (traditional) chrome pieces to see how they look. And as I've stated before, his final design for the plastic/hybrid back piece won't be exactly like this. The one I have is just an identical copy of the standard aluminum back, but just made in plastic instead, and uses the original plastic "gasket looking" spacers (see the very first post in this thread to see my pics of those if you're not familiar). The final design will be made to do away with the plastic gasket spacers on both the front and back of the phone, and the plastic back incorporate those spacers into it's design. It'll still have the same appearance from the outside when installed, but it'll have a slightly different fit underneath. The way that I have these already is that I've become pretty good friends with Jacob at e13ctron through all of our communication (we began talking about cases before he/they released theirs), and we talk about this stuff all the time. He's a great guy, and works hard at this stuff, in addition to having another full time job. I'm shocked at how great his customer service is knowing how little free time he has.
Added: If you're interested in this hybrid and/or black chrome finish, hit their webpage and shoot them an email stating your interest. They are trying to get an idea as to how much demand there is for the black chrome and standard chrome finishes, and whether it's worth it to mass produce it, and won't know unless they hear from you guys.
