For all the users with unlimited data, do you really need that much? I’m with BT in the UK where I pay £15/month for unlimited calls and texts and get 50GB data which is doubled to 100GB cos I use their broadband service. I barely use 5GB a month because there’s Wi-Fi at home and at work.

I have unlimited, but I only use 1-2gb/month. I used my hotspot quite a bit for remote work after a big storm and my power was out for a week, but I only occasionally wfh.

Between the gal and I, we don't even hit a terabyte/month on our home fiber connection.

I have t-mobile magenta max plan 6 lines for $232 with work discount.
however I'm still paying off my parents 13 Pro Maxes (who's on our plan) so I'm paying between $310-$315 per month.

How in the world is that possible?

Backups. Being paranoid I backup to 3 online services. Dataset is about 62 TB in size (primarily streaming media) and every time I add a new disk data used is size x 3. Today I added Shazam 4K which is 169 GB in size so thats over .5 TB of data just for today.

I was paying £6/m with EE as unlimited data bolt on (4G) but I hadn’t renewed my contract for about 6 years and my bill went up to about £20/m.
Took out a new contract with just 10gb data and now paying £12/m (5G).
Like most, only use about 1.5gb data a month anyway, so the unlimited data was useless to me as I am 99% of the time on WiFi.

Mine is $1.6 per month with unlimited 5G data. Speed cap after 3.3TB
Carrier: Jio 5G in India. Probably the cheapest in the world.

Maybe i need to call EE because i don't get those type of speeds these days. I live in London and these days I get about 100mbps download speed.

I’m in Bristol, 1 mile down the road is faster still (approx 450 mbps download). It doesn’t seem very different on 4G vs 5G though. EE prices are ridiculous nevertheless.

I use our cable provider’s MVNO offering which uses Verizon’s network (and comes with all the perks incl 5G, 5Guw, etc).

Spectrum Mobile
3 lines
Unlimited Voice, Text & Data (Data throttled after 20GB)
$90 USD Flat rate.

I have to maintain my cable internet, but I’m not switching to DSL, so I’m happy with what we’ve got.

I got a Fido deal in Canada, $40 for 50 gb. It was a Black Friday deal. The carriers screw us for the rest of the year, offering deals that are terrible. The Black Friday and/or Boxing Day periods are the best time to shop for deals.
This was a new account or you changed your Fido plan?

Visible. While they have terrible customer service, it’s hard to beat their very affordable prices. They have a higher tiered plan with priority access data, but testing it for a month, I figured I’m perfectly fine with the base plan. I’ve had zero connection issues in my home area, or anywhere where I‘ve been traveling. It’s fairly easy to switch between the two tiers if I do need the priority access for some reason in the future. But, as mentioned, the costs are so low because their support is garbage, so as long as you have no problems, you should be okay. I’ve had issues in the past (like upgrading to the 14 Pro at launch, their network was not ready for easy eSIM transfers), where I’ve lost service for 4-5 days - eventually just ported my number out, made a new account and ported back in to fix the issue.

$25 (with old PayPal promo) for base plan
Unlimited Data
Unlimited Text
Unlimited Calls
Unlimited Hotspot (only one connection limited to 5Mbps)
+
$5/month for Cellular Apple Watch plan

It was not a new account, I’ve been with Fido for 19 years. I got my kids Fido lines 2 years prior and got them the same plan, though theirs was 52 gb due to bonus data.
