well, it's nothing special.

you're like a tourist shooting a famous church. around you are 40 others doing the exact same thing.
39 of those photos will look very, very similar while one will stand out.
unfortunately your photo belongs to the group of 39.

Ouch! The spirit of the season gives way to the brutality of the truth. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah, maybe I should bumped it at ISO400/800 and I wont notice the difference, Im surprise that at ISO1600, my DSLR is still able to produce very usable pictures. But the idea of increase to higher ISO will bring more noise always frighten me. Hmm, well I shall try again in the future with higher ISO.

Well that shot I honestly tell ya is not blurry, I zoomed into it and it shows no blur except for the instrument that it is holding which make it look like it was shaking. (IS really helps, hope more Canon lens will come with IS in the future)

Oh yea, is it me or Canon default kit lens (18-55 IS) got sharpness or focusing issue? Cause some of my pics taken that day (especially pics with my family) turn out not sharp. Still usable and to non-photographers (my family members except my dad) dont notice the difference but me and my dad notice the unsharpness spot on. Oddly enough, I am sure the AF point was on the subject.

Any reason to behind this? (The shutter speed is around 1/25 and the ISO is set to 400 for those shots)
I think I see some blur, but it's not as much as I would've gotten with my non-IS 18-55.

One thing to remember is that grain can be removed with not too big of a penalty during PP. It's better to get the shot and endure the grain than not get the shot at all (I use ISO 1600 all the time on my XT with little to no fear).

Hmm, yeah you got a point there. I guess I need to get use with shooting at higher sensitives.

Nice shots DJMastaWes, like the present wrap patterns but I cant ignore the 6-year-old-like handwriting :D

As usual, nice shot TheReef. The sky is reddish and the sea was dangerous.
Judging from the blurry water flowing (not too blur which I like, give it a unique feeling) I guess it has a shutter 1/8 like that?

It rained today, so when I went out there were some photo opportunity. Surprisingly the water lily flower which has not yet bloom seem bigger then usual so I decided to take some pics of it at different angle. Here is one of my best shot. I like it cause I can see clearly the beauty of a not yet bloomed water lily and that I can see the lines of the flower.

Comment and criticism is appreciated ;)

This is Slovenia

I love this country. :)

Taken about six hours ago (a rare instance of me using a tripod and freezing my fingertips off while waiting for the light to change):

Nice shot and scenery Phrasikleia, care to give it your photo EXIF?

Hmm, it seems using a tripod or at least monopod is very useful, do you guys keep the tripod base onto the camera all the time then?

Well, the wait was worthwhile. Spectacular... :)
Did it feel different to use a tripod and spend more time waiting for the light?

Well, it felt...COLD! :) But yes, it did feel different; it was exciting watching different parts of the view light up as the clouds shifted around. However, I feel more in control when I shoot handheld. I ultimately took the camera off the tripod and snapped a few like that just to make me feel better. ;) Thanks for the compliment. :)

They were above my head and mostly behind me. There was sun only in the direction of the Alps.

33mm, f/14, 1/6sec, ISO 100, -0.7ev, PL and ND 0.9 filters stacked. I just added it to my post above, but it is also contained in the image and accessible by the Firefox EXIF viewer plug-in.

Not me, no. I usually shoot handheld.
