I haven't bought one just this second but I'll wait till November because thats my first paycheck and by then all bugs would be fixed but I dunno whether to choose between gunmetal or black.......so if anyone minds posting some pictures of them that'd be appreciated.

Phipp, those are some nice pics. Do you keep your ipods/iphone in a case or use a skin?

Is the new nano's screen and case pretty scratch resistant?

I just went to the Apple store and checked them out and man are they beautiful. I was so tempted to get one but I have a 80GB iPod Classic and a 16GB iPhone so there really isn't a need. I do have to say that the purple, blue, silver, and green looked the best. Also I can't believe how thin the iPod touch is, it's incredible. I took some pics with my iPhone's camera.

I keep my iphone in an Incase Slider Case. I never had my old nano in a case..it's pretty beat up you just can't tell in the picture.

The new nanos seem like they'll hold up better than other ipods do.. it still looks pretty good right now

I REALLY want to see some of all of the other colors. I haven't seen red, green, yellow, purple, or pink yet, so if one of you has one, PLEASE post pictures. Thanks!!! :)

Great pics! Blue looks really neat, and the Touch looks cool too; really thin too.

Just got my iPod! silver/black 8gb. It's awesome, shake to shuffle is not so easy to use though. I also noticed the games rotate with the screen to fit landscape mode, and so does the video so you can hold the ipod with either hand, that's a nice feature. To SchneiderMan: My screen doesn't seem yellow, maybe these nanos got the iPhone 3G "warm & fussy" screen treatment.

I just picked up a purple 8gb. I'd go for the 16 but I only use this for the gym and don't really need the extra 8gb.

Picked up 8 gig

Hello to one and all.

Picked this up as a replacement for g/f who does a lot of jogging so was looking for small and light player. No issues at all with screen colouring and very impressed with the little chap (and the nano).

Pity I cannot say the same for apple tv picked up at same time (for me - who does a lot of watching tv).

I still can't get over the fact that I paid nearly $700 Canadian (with tax) for the first iPod in 2001 the day it came out and it only held 5GB of music. Can't wait to see what happens in 2015.

My 8GB...

Yes, and you're wrong. The second and fourth generation nanos are the nicest iPods ever (just a little ahead of the backlit iPod, I think it was the third generation...)

Blasphemy! The 3rd gen (aka "the one with no click wheel") ipod was an abomination! ;)

incredibly thin....

Actually, after looking at the pics in this thread, I'm struck by how similar they are to the first gen nanos. Really very little difference is dimensions between the two, although they did manage to use a much greater portion of the face for the screen this time around.
