If you use a bumper, don't buy a dock.

Also the bumper is too thick for my Shure SCL3. I guess I will be looking for another earphone.
 
Bad news, I have the SCL4 which have the same connector size as the SCL3. Now instead of spending 30$ on a bumper I can wait for something else.

I totally agree. But if it's the worst thing that happens to me today, then I'm doing good! :p

I love convenience of the dock but I'll hold out to see what comes available over the next few weeks. Finding a nice case / bumper is the priority for me. Again, it's probably a good idea that this thread gets some prominence as I'm sure a lot of people will be eyeballing the bumper / dock combo.

To be fair, I really like my bumper. No idea if it'll protect my phone, but it's pretty solid. Was just annoyed I spent $30 on a dock I can't use, haha.
 
I'll be returning the dock unopened after it arrives on 6/30. Thanks for pointing this out, it saves me $29!

I'm just glad that it fits in my 3rd party speaker dock. :) I really like the bumper so far. It makes the iPHone better in the hand and prevents scratches of the steel.
 
I didn't buy a dock because of this... I bought a dock for my iPad and because its never out of its case, it never goes in the dock.

As a side note also... I can't use my headphones on the iPhone4 when the bumper is on... the jack isn't long enough. (I don't use the stock earphones - I have Sennheiser Cans) Its like the 1st Gen iPhone 3.5mm Jack all over again.

As other's have indicated, it is called Photo Shop and while a picture may be worth a thousand words, don't believe your lying eyes. :eek: :mad:

You can call it BS but it does not fit. I have a iPhone 4 dock from the Apple store (today) and a black bumper that arrived today from the Apple Online store.

With the Apple bumper on the iPhone 4, it will not seat properly in the iPhone 4 dock. You will need to get the Universal dock or another solution.

It was a waste of money, but it looks SLICK when the iPhone is in it on my desk. Just might go naked, or better yet might just keep the bumper and return the dock.
 
Has anyone tried this with an original iphone dock. I don't have a bumper yet but my 4 fits the original dock with a few mm either side.

I got a 3rd party "knock-off" dock from eBay, I looked for one that specifically said "Works with bumper on iPhone" and there it was! £9 I think it was.
