Checked my email this morning and received a shipment notification from Apple at 8:36 AM PST. Email says it will deliver by March 18th, but FEDEX gives a delivery estimate of March 17th by 3:30 PM PST.
Either way I'm EXCITED! I'm leaving March 19th on a trip out of the country and was worried the original 18th-25th est. delivery date would leave me empty handed for my trip.
It sounds like they're starting to Ship as others have replied with similar posts. Hopefully everyone that ordered theirs will receive a shipping notification today.

When did you get your tracking number? Just talked to an Apple Rep and there are a lot of angry, upset or frustrated customers who put their orders in later. They now have to wait 3-4 weeks before their orders ship. I'm glad I put in my order as soon as ordering opened up (before 1 am PST).
It's the Fedex Express International
so it would be from China or somewhere in Asia

I have the same config, except in 32 GB, and mine is still "Not yet shipped." I ordered mine at 3:47 AM EST. You'd think we would be the first to ship out... Hopefully soon! I'm not gonna lie; I've been obsessively checking my status.

Should have just ordered online yesterday. It's now showing two to three weeks for the 64 gig AT&T version! Crazy... I was about to order until I saw that... Not happy with this launch. All others were much easier with the exception of the first and second iPhone lines.

Made an order for 2 (16G Black) iPads during early morning hours of the 11th. Just received confirmation email from Apple showing a "shipped" status with a delivery date of the 17th (confirmed by FedEx). I'm on the west coast (SF bay area).

Mine is still at prepared for shipment. I really hope that it changes soon because my spring break starts the 18th and I had my iPad delivered to my school. I tried calling apple to change the shipping address but their system was all jammed up according to the lady. Now it's too late to change it because it's prepared for shipment.
