Top grain what? Cowhide? I would prefer Highland Goatskin but I doubt any here know what that is, or the fact that it's pretty much the best stuff you can get for an application like this.

This guy doesn't get it.

Bah, who wants Nigerian goatskin on their iPads?

I have the Orbino Padova for my iPad & the quality of the leather is amazing.. I also have the Orbino Pantera case for my iPhone 4S. I'm always getting compliments on the cases.

Can you please describe your experience with it? Read a review saying that you cant hold the iPad in landscape mode and the cover does not fold all the way back. Are these true?

I have no problem holding the iPad in landscape mode with the Orbino case, and yes, the cover DOES fold all the way back. It also comes with a removable spring loaded typing stand that you can attach.

Many thanks for your prompt response!

Looks awesome but the screen opening doesn't seem to be big enough. I contacted them to see if they could make one that has a larger opening. If anyone else agrees you should contact them too.

Greg

The pictures don't do it justice. Really all of their products are of unbelievable quality.

Because I travel frequently, I need to have an ipad case that is as thin as possible and then I use a Saddleback leather large satchel to carry my MacBook Air and my iPad (w/smart cover). I did have the previous version of the Saddleback iPad case and although the case does cover the bezel of the iPad, it does not cover any part of the screen. From the feedback on the Saddleback Facebook fan page I understand that the newer version of the iPad case is even better designed and has a better fit. Their return policy is great and their 100 year guarantee is unmatched.

You can always try it out and return it if you don't love it.

I'll add another vote for the Piel Frama. Look nice, wear like iron and good quality. Cases.com will have a new supply of the cases for the iPad 3 in mid-April

OMG!

The Maroo case are twice as expensive on Walmart site as they are on Maroo.com. What is up with that?

Sounds suspicious....

The Orbino looks awesome, but quite the investment. I saw the Gear Diary YouTube review and the guy got his wife a Croc case! Almost $700!!

I received this zip folio case today. It's called the Chinao Premium Leather Executive Folio for the New iPad 3. I travel a lot, and wanted the extra protecton, and a slim form factor for carrying the iPad around. It has a secondary zip pocket for business cards, pen/stylus etc. I am really impressed with the quality and design. It's could be well suited for a Business person (please keep in mind, I am not exactly the best photographer:rolleyes:):

I like how the iPad can be propped at various viewing angles, or lifted out, if necessary, without too much hassle:

Last year, I used the Chinao wheat folio for my iPad 2, and it lasted incredibly well, (different design and form factor, which is more suitable for just daily use).

They are not leather but I think they are very sharp. Plus, they are handmade in my home state, Nebraska. I may get a sleeve/messenger bag setup... stash-bags.com

Marware CEO Hybrid

I'd recommend the Marware CEO Hybrid Case for a nice professional look. I have it in black carbon fiber. I can post pictures if people want :)

I'm trying to find a really nice professional leather case for my new iPad. Not terribly concerned about added weight or bulk as long as it looks nice and is high quality. I'm also willing to pay a higher price for a higher quality case, so that's not really an issue either. I'm most concerned with finding a high quality professional-looking leather case.

Anyone have suggestions?

I think you are looking for a hard leather molded case. Very unique unlike the crap on the market. Still searching as well, I cannot afford the good stuff.

Silent keyboard

Does anyone know of a high quality leather case with a silent keyboard? Thanks!

I think Beyza cases is the way to go I had one for the iPad 2 and it was wonderful. I will probably get one for the new iPad once the magnets have been verified to work. I sent an email to their headquarters and they said it did I just like to see it verified in the real world.

I'm using the Beyza Executive II for the iPad 2. Fits perfectly and all sleep/awake functions work with the iPad 3. Nice and light. The leather is top notch and I like that it has the benefits of Apple's own smart cover.

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite case ever. :)

I agree. Beyza is the way to go.

I just received an Orbino Padova today and am every happy with it. It looks great. I got the Brown Tuscan (dark brown) and the leather, stitching and overall workmanship are first-rate. The leather is sturdy but supple, so the case provides plenty of protection but with minimal moving parts.

The front cover folds all the way back, so landscape mode works fine. Haven't yet tried the included removable typing-stand attachment.

I'm very pleased with the case overall. Even my wife, who typically rolls her eyes at my purchases, is impressed.

Can you send any more pics? Is this just a sleeve or does it allow you to use the iPad while still in the case?

Regards
RK
