Three.

If "owned" implies and includes "proficiency", I've purchased 8, but I've only managed to tame two, while the first six more or less owned me, so to speak.

Apple ][+ w/ 64k language card, 2 floppy drives, joystick, and paddles
Mac SE w/ 40MB Jasmine external hard drive
PowerMac 7100/66 w/ 17" Apple CRT

My family actually has a ton of Macs lying around at our house, mainly from a previous employer (long story), but (including mine) only about 4 are in frequent use. Don't know the exact numbers, but something like:

1 x Mac Plus
2 x Quadras
3 x Performas
1/2 x other pre-PPC computers
1 x older PPC portable
2 x pre-G PPCs
1 x Beige G3
1 x iMac G3
2 x PM G4s
1 x PB G4

xsedrinam, your 'tar just synched up perfectly to a Dvorak piece I'm listening to, with the glow occurring right on triangle cues. :p

Four:

1. A Power PC that ran OS 6 or 7 (I don't remember, but it was around 1995)
2. Another Power PC (I had it for such a short time I don't even remember)
3. iMac G3 (Green)
4. iMac G5

From a Plus in 1985 to my current G5 2GB ram 400HD (plus 2 laptops and two more desktops) pehaps... maybe 35-40 different models? Hell, I even have an eMate. Never had a Newton, and I WANT a 20th anniversary.

Um... A bunch?

I was born in '76, have been using Macs since '88, and have at various times owned 51 different Macs. (Plus an Apple IIe, and two Newtons, one currently owned, plus a boatload of accessories.) I presently own a 3G 30GB iPod and a white 2GB nano; and just gave away my 512MB shuffle.

My .sig has my current collection. Not in that are the Classic II that died and was given proper treatment. (Pictures were on my SpyMac gallery, but their gallery is down right now.) Also gone are a beige rev.a G3 desktop, a rev.b iMac, and a Blueberry iMac slot load. (The original, non-DV version.) Those three were sold (Along with my Sony PictureBook) to pay for my 12" PBG4 back in 2003. (Selling all four completely paid for it. I was sad to lose what had been my 'top three' Macs, but the PowerBook has been worth it. I also used to have a PowerBook 3400c, but it died and was sold to a collector who knew it was dead. That makes my total owned over the years as 51.

My collection gallery is at .Mac, and some videos of the Classic II's demise are here and here. (Not necessarily work appropriate.)

edit: damn, yenko has me beat by 9. Gotta go eBay'ing

22 years old.
mac user since feb. of this year

only one owned is my 1.33 powerbook that i have.
I have also bought my gf a ibook and my parents a mac mini since then.

original 17" PB 1.0GHz

then my house got robbed, and in a house filled with PC's the only computer that they stole was my mac!

with the insurance money I got a 12" PB 1.33GHZ and a 1.8 GHz iMac G5

26 years old. I accepted Apple into my life on Sept 11, 2003 when I got my iPod (3G15). I demonstrated my belief on April 16, 2004 when my Refurb PB15 FW800 arrived. My spreading of the good word most recently affected my parents when I bought them an iMac 17/SD on July 11, 2005.

My wife plans on selling her laptop at the beginning of January and getting an iB/PB when she beginns telecommuting as her company will provide PC desktop(s).

I've been using Macs longer (like at school), but did not own one until above. Before, I actively persecuted those who believed in Apple. Then I was shown the light of true productivity - and Expose - by a roommate. I would now liken myself unto Paul of the New Testament.

In my family

Apple II
Powerbook 100
LCII
Performa
Powerbook 190
iBook g3 600mhz
iMac g3 500mhz

Moi personally

Powerbook g4 550 Titanium (daystar CPU upgrade from 400mhz)

22 years old.
I have owned two Macs in my lifetime.

12" iBook G3 900MHz (7/03-4/04)
12" iBook G4 1.07GHz (4/04-present)

Also two iPods.

10GB Gen 2 with touchwheel (11/02-7/04)
40GB Gen 4 with clickwheel (7/04-present)

iMac G3 Bondi 333
Power Mac G4 450
Power Mac G4 MDD 1.25
iMac G5 1.8 17"
iBook 12" G4 1.2
Power Mac G5 Dual 2.7

Oh how I wish I had dough for the quad, the quadro vid card and another 30" display. :)

I'm have 4 macs in my possession:

Performa 630
12" iBook G3
17" 1Ghz PB
SE/30

I think I should get rid of the performa, it's ugly and useless and take up far to much space in my attic. The SE/30 is so sweet and I'll keep it forever. It's a nice typewriter anyway. But perhaps I'll soon have a problem getting ink for the printer that I've got for it.
