At least this isn't as bad as people buying card board drawings and models of wii u pads and ps4s on ebay.
 
You'd need to be a mug to pay $25 for the 3D print file - most people with a 3D printer can easily knock up an STL file for free!

Seriously! people are homeless in our own cities. Take that $25 and give it to an organization that will do something useful with it.
 
Anybody have a clue as to how much it would cost to have Shapeways print this?

If you go to Shapeways and search for iPhone 6, the same designer is already offering the finished model.
It's around $35 depending upon material selected.
I'm surprised that info isn't part of the story.
