No, they should not.
The TOS specifically doesn't allow for the phone to be used in tethering mode .

Greedy and idiotic people like your friends are ruining it for the rest of us.

Tell them to man up and stop screwing things up for other people.

Wrong.

Per the FCC, Verizon cannot tell us how to use our device in that manner. Additionally, they OFFER unlimited tethering if you have an unlimited plan!

Does Verison allow for tethering on an unlimited plan? That is a strange oversight given that AT&T specifically doesn't allow for that.

Or is the 200G+ all on a mobile device?

The phone SIM card was actually put into USB modem. Per the FCC, we are able to use our service on ANY compatible device we choose.

1. The FCC allowed for Verizon to charge an extra $20/month for tethering on unlimited plans, so if you paid for that extra $20/month, then you should have unlimited tethering and they shouldn't throttle.

2. No, that is not what the FCC said. In the Verizon settlement, it was specific to the band and the restrictions associated with it, which is why it had no impact on AT&T, Sprint and others.

Where you find it?? Or still waiting for an online order?

Only if there is a massive migration of customers to another carrier. I will move if I can get unlimited data for the same or less amount of money.

I waited in line... I was 30th in line at my store.

HOW??? I must know, I am planning on getting a 6 or 6 plus tomorrow and I would love to pay the upgrade price and keep my unlimited data!!

My sister had an upgrade on her line; we are on the same plan...so I upgraded her phone, then took it off her line and added it to mine. :)

well, I can still add UDP to my account using Family Share. Just double checked. I should do it, get the 6+, and sell the line.
