Just a question for the forum: I see some folks place a part of their order number up, what does it mean and is it the first four or the last four ?

When it comes to AT&T and it's pre-ordering flop, it means nothing. It was never "first come, first serve", more like picking orders out of a hat. I placed my pre-order on 09/12 at approximately 3:45 AM EST (12:45AM Pacific), that's 45 minutes after the launch went live. Shipping estimate of 10/13 - 10/22. Still on back order and Wednesday is already the 22nd.
 
Been 24 hours since the 877 number went from back order to processing. No shipping info yet? Here we go again. :(

Ah ok was just curious. I wasn't sure if it meant you were the xxxx person to order that day or something

Congrats Ellie!! You've been patient this far, a few more hours won't hurt. You should be receiving confirmation by the end of the day if not tomorrow the latest.
 
877 backorder devil turned into the 877 processing princess around 10pm yesterday got tracking via email this morning at about 6am scheduled for delivery 10/23.
6+ sg 16gb ordered 9/12 in store 10:21am 10/31-11/11 estimated shipping dates.

Thanks a lot. I'm in cal and it may take a little longer to ship from warehouse in Texas . I'm just happy to hear processing. :cool:

Good to hear that Devil Lady turned into Processing Princess. I wish I could hear that. My ship est 11/09-11/27.

Thank you. You are in better position than me. You ordered almost two weeks after me and your shipping estimate is about one week earlier than mine. I hope you get your phone soon.

And rev ordered two weeks after me and has a better ship date (not by much but still)

Couldn't help but notice that no one has a shipping window from 10/23-10/30
 
What is this 877 number everyone is referencing? This is the first time I have ordered my iphone via ATT. Usually just pick up at an apple store but this seemed to be the easiest way to use the next program.

Estimated shipping window... 10/29 to 11/7; roughly a 5.5 to a 7 week delay
