I meant I don't predict anything revolutionary to come out. Ingenious, isn't it? ;)

How long would people in the USA say "Happy New Year" to each other?
I think the appearance of the picture is a bit long lasting for a simple "Happy New Year".
I don't expect anything revolutionary by Apple on Macworld though. Revolutions don't sell well. Common peopl won't buy things that are way too different from what they are used to. Apple Geeks and Computer Geeks in general (most of 'us' here fall into the one or the other category or both) surely will, but that's not enough to make a Business out of that. Remember the Newton: That was a Revolution. No we will only see evolutionary development, regardless of the Apple total eclipsing a voluminous light source.

WOW! I hope their is going to be a live stream of the keynote. They used to. Why not anymore:confused: Anyway, If their is not a live stream, Macrumours live will be good:) Especially if their are photos:)

Design Suite to compete with Adobe?

What with Adobe announcing that they're bringing Premiere back to the Mac platform--maybe they got whiff of Apple coming out with a Design Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/DreamWeaver competitors) that Apple will announce at MacWorld?

Or maybe Apple will just add a photo editing and drawing program to iLife and/or iWork? And those apps will be the basis for the pro suite (just as iPhoto begat Aperture and iDVD begat DVD SP)?

new MacPro announcement coming

There will be a new Mac Pro announced, possibly a speedbump, or more. When I loaded the apple.com page and hovered over the welcome to 2007 photo, it gave me the apple.com/macpro link preview at the bottom.

???

You sure? The Welcome to 2007 image isn't linked to anything!!

LOL, all we need is a Apple revolution, or an apple 360 ;) . iWii60 :D

iTv will help me watch more tv shows. My roommate has bought almost all the tv shows from itms. now i will be able to watch all of it without having to hang out with them the whole time.

My prediction is they will release a Mac Pro mini and a external illuminated keyboard. That would be so cool. The keyboard might also be aluminum. :D :D :D :D :D :D

that image is decidedly un-apple. the balance is all off and the light rays aren't coming from a consistent source. the distortion in the upper left of the apple coupled with the bit mark being cropped make it look more like a rotten apple.

The light source is a Dell logo. 2007 sees the licensing of OSX...

Yeah, deals announced with the majors. Movies, iTV. Coming to the UK in 2009, to New Zealand in 2018. :D
It does seem that NZ is way down the list (as is Australia).

I'm wondering if Apple can make a different kind of DENT in this problem.

TV has evolved hugely
1) The Internet is global. Why have country specific deals?
2) What will iTV be called?

Could Apple cut a deal with SOME studios for worldwide distribution rights? Some networks do have global control of their existing content. New content hasn't got licenses yet... If Apple could usher in this concept it'd be huge.
(same goes for music)

And to the name of iTV. iPod is Apple's baby and it's become synonymous with music players. Does Apple want a new name for it's iTV that becomes synonymous with Internet entertainment? We're sinking in acronyms (DVR, VoD, HD-DVD, SDTV, etc). Or do we just keep the plain old TV (tele=distant, vision=vision) acronym?

At the risk of being pedantic, TV is neither an acronym, being formed from a single word, nor a properly constructed compound, since tele comes from Greek and vision comes from Latin.
