I got a new 3GS last month on release day. Buying my self out of my Vodafone contract Blackberry.

I love the iphone it is such a clever bit of kit and the camera and location services are great for my work.

The reason I am thinking of handing it back is that the coverage and service compared to Vodafone is rubbish. ( I dont know about other providers I was with Voda for a decade)

I am a TV location manager in Scotland and spend a lot of time traveling to rural places where the "no service" indicator is always lit.

Even in the cities the service is doggy to say the least!

Yesterday there was a mass outage of data and did not get emails for the most of the day despite traveling to Glasgow and Edinburgh the whole country was down.

I have taken to keeping a Vodafone PAYT in the glove box, and have kept my data card for my mac.

Maybe offcom should look at the service.

I would ask apple to look at their deals and to open to other providers, because 02 is making a very exceptional piece of hardware look average and unreliable.

Discus!

Rather than just trying to start your own argument (yes, I said argument not discussion), can't you just read the ones that are already going on?

You will always find people who don't get the signal they used to and you will find people (like me) who have better signal now they have switched to O2.

This thread compares the networks for signal coverage, just read that.
