Was trying to re-jailbreak my dads iPhone 3G today due to battery drainage. I was FORCED to restore via iTunes, which updated the baseband

Is it now impossible to unlock the phone?

Bootloader - 06.02
Baseband - 5.14.02
iOS 4.1

You can jailbreak, but you can't unlock 5.14.02 on the 3G.

No need to sell. Wait until 4.2 is out. Apparently, unlock will come out then.
