1,1 GPU question

After reading through the nvidia sticky 1,1 can utilize 5xx cards under 10.7.5

this is obviously without boot screens ect. due to the nvidia 64bit.

What I'm curious of is I can pick up a OEM GT120 for next to nothing. With the system running 10.7.5 will the 1,1 be able to utilize the GT120 with mdp?

 

Or better yet what is the best alternative video card that has working display port......I currently have a 5770 but when I did the flash I can get both DVI ports and the HDMI port to work but not the displayport.
