I noticed this morning with iStats Menu that my PSU fan seems to stay at the same speed no matter which setting I choose. Even when I enter a new speed manually, it appears to stay at 600 rpm or so according to the sensor, while my other fans do adjust their speed. Should I be worried and what can/should I do?

Well... after a little research I found these old threads:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/fan-control-for-mac-pro-not-mbp.253965/

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/power-supply-fan-speed.453248/

They explain why the PSU fan speed is a little more complicated to deal with than the 3 other fans. Now I don't know if member davepk is still around, but his information is very helpful, so thanks for that! ...I take it I shouldn't worry about the PSU fan running constantly at 600rpm then! 🙂
