I'd love to see how it benchmarks compared to the old mac. So much more power, now available for a tiny amount of money.

Wow, I remember playing Lode Runner on my 512K Mac (upgraded from 128K). You couldn't save and continue so you'd have to leave the game running for a day or so when going for a record score. Good ole days.

Things like this

Patent... litigate... no innovation... stolen ideas... my company makes more profit... plasticky... where's my rMBP. Forum points of discussion that

This thing? Instant mood restoration. This is just too freaking cool.

Hat tip.

Kinda wish they could make full-sized Classic Macs and have all the old Mac software on it. I miss Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, etc.

And Daleks! But I think the original author has that available for OS X now as well?

I'm even more interested in that statuette of Steve Jobs. Isn't that the one Apple had pulled from the market?

Nope, that above Steve Jobs plastic toy is NOT the one that Apple issued a cease-and-desist to shut down (that was around early 2012 soon after SJ passed away). The doll that was "cancelled" due to Apple threat was a lot more life-like, had articulated joints and was sold with some small props. If I remember, it was an Asian (Japanese?) company and they quickly backed down and issued an apology admitting that releasing a SJ action figure so soon after his death was insensitive to the Jobs family, blah blah blah.
