I say order as soon as you can. No on knows how long it'll take to start dropping so you might as well get in queue.

Heeded to your advice and put my name in the hat for the 1.3/256, the 4-6 week shipment should provide plenty of room for the first 1.3 reviews to trickle in, but unless something surprising and definitive is encountered in those tests I will probably just end up hanging on to it.
