Most likely something to do with software. I doubt it's a faulty drive. You could always reinstall the OS and run the test before you load your stuff on it.

Was the Apple Genius able to do diagnostics on your SSD to see if it was defective?

OR did you just exchange with sales?

That looks perfectly normal. The numbers with any meaning are the ones on the right side, not the constantly changing speed meters.

My finger is hovering over the order button!!!

My options are 256GB 1.1 or 1.3. Agh, come on decide already!!

If there is no real wold difference I'm probably going 1.1
Wife has a Gold 1.1 My 1.3 has more headroom when the VM is running, far less hang opening apps. Etc. If you just do email, Facebook, browse internet etc. 1.1 is fine.
