iPad Pro 1 Apple Pencil for both new Pro models?

Anyone have both new models or two of the same who can tell if it’s possible to have one Apple Pencil connected to two iPads? Or will it re-pair every time it’s connected to the other iPad?
 
To answer my own question, you have to connect every time you attach the pencil on the other iPad. Guess that makes sense 🙂
