I agree, it really winds me up that people judge a camera by the megapixel count.
In the camera shop, the shop assistant kept telling me to get a camera that was the same price as the one I wanted, but because it had more megapixels. Judging by the online reviews, and side by side comparisons, the one with LESS megapixels, took waaay better shots, due to a way larger sensor! ;)

Wow. I could understand that from a shop like Walmart or maybe even the kid at Best Buy, but from an actual camera shop? That's really bad :(

Fingerprint security capacitive home button.

No more home buttons.

While the physical home button is iconic it has to go or Apple has to seriously redesing multitasking to make it so you don't have to double tap your home button until it wont respond.

It has happened to every single iPhone and even the iPhone 5.

Apple already has patents for haptic home button. I just hope they're working on to implement in the iPhone 5S.

Every competitor try to out-feature the next guy, except many times it's half-baked, bug- ridden, difficult to use eventually pushed to the novelty shelf. Yawn.

Yup, only reason I stay with apple. They are not perfect, but any feature that they put out will work at least. The standard that we measure success by in this industry is unbelievably low. So many products are completely bug free and half-baked that if you've used Apple, it's hard to go back. There many features that Apple omits, and it drives me nuts that someone would dictate to me what I need and don't need, and that they understand my needs better than I do. But I've realized that what drives me even more nuts is basic stuff that doesn't work on other phones...things that you wouldn't realize unless you've owned an iPhone before. Android still has basic usability issues that people have gotten used to, but make no mistake about it, they don't know any better or what they're missing.

I'm fully in the camp that believes the sporadic reports that Android users simply do not use their phones to their potential that iPhone users do. The data, taken as a whole, really do suggest that iPhone users buy apps and actually enjoy using their phone. With Android, it's usually phone calls, email, facebook. There's no true exploration going on there. You'd never prove this theory one way or the other, but just look around you--it's still an iPhone world. You never hear about the next must have app being android only. I do not see Android users forming any "connection" with their phone, certainly not the way that iPhone users do. Blackberry users have stronger connections to their phone than Android users do. With Android, it seems to be "I could do this" or "This phone has the power to do" but very, very few people ever take any advantage of it due to the ergonomics of the device ( a tactile home button is still the way to go), an inconsistent back button, and poorer quality apps with poorer battery life. No doubt, without a shadow of a doubt, actually, Android is architected better and poised for the future (inter-app communication) and clearly has more features and is out-innovating Apple. But Apple focuses on execution and polish, and quite frankly, for something that we interact with and depend on like a smartphone, the average Joe user's joy will come from things like dependability, battery life, reliability, simplicity rather than great specs, cool next gen features that bug out, and flexibility and the theoretical possibility of an OS upgrade.
Never, ever trust the promise of future software upgrades, b/c by the time they happen, it's on to the next phone for even the average user. I don't think I'm nuts when I say that except for the Nokia phone, the iphone 4s and 5's camera are still easily better than anything out there. I've seen the S3, HTC One, etc and they're still a cut below in all lighting situations, etc. I have a few Android phones but end up never using them.

Recently, Blackberry released the Z10 with the Timeshift feature, which allows user to capture the "perfect" moment. Now, HTC One also comes with the same feature on their new flagship phone. I really hope Apple will add this feature on their future iPhones, it'll definitely help them sell tons of iPhones easily..

That is a great idea ... I would also like them to incorporate the new infinity camera technology so we can set our own focus points after the picture is taken.

I said capacitive....
No physical home button, it's embedded in the glass.

Meh, I would probably use this feature maybe once or twice during the life of the phone.

Once Apple redesigns the iPhone's look and OS I'll go back. Right now I'm looking for a design more like the flawless GS3 and customizability in the OS.

While that seems like a neat feature, I'm pretty sure the next iPhone will sell millions without it.

True.

The legacy of Steve Jobs is millions of vain people that rely on the iPhone to raise their social status, thus allowing them to sleep better at night. Quite an amazing accomplishment.

Some people are saying that the S in iPhone 5S will be for security.

3GS - speed
4S - Siri
5S - security?

Some have no clue.

The killer feature should have something to do with the camera. The camera is very good now, but far from perfect. There are many times you wish to turn iPhone 5 into a professional camera, but super easy to use and to carry...

Might have to wait more than a couple years...

Flawless? I was going to respond sooner, but I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes...

Yes, I guess over saturated colors, plastic creaky body, and higher than average return rates are flawless if you have extremely low standards.

Yeah, and the people buying it are called sheep, lummoxes, walkers, etc.

And those that buy Samsung blindly are innovative users, who do "Real" work? Right...ok...got it /s

The perfect camera would require removable lens options, which would make it...less than perfect.

Killer feature? Teleportation.

That would rock. No more traffic to work. Get an extra hour of sleep.

Yeah, that'd rock.

Or if it could make skittle. Either way its a win.
