I think this is a tough call. But I just did a quick check on Swappa.com and I'm thinking that if I looking to sell in 30 days the S5 would get the nod over the 5S.

However, I think the Note 4 is due out soon. While not a new version of the Galaxy S-series, it will probably have some impact on S5 pricing.

Also keep in mind that the new Galaxy Alpha is just rolling out. So that will have some impact on S5 resale value.

Considering that you don't seem happy with the S5, I think I would return it and get the 5S. You seem like you want to stay in the Apple iCosystem and I don't think the difference between the two will be more than $50 either way.

At what point did I ever make it sound like getting an iPhone 6 on contract was even a possibility? Pretty sure I clearly said that I just joined Verizon in the last week so getting an iPhone 6 on contract isn't an option.

You didn't, but it's sort of hard to believe this switch couldn't wait another 3-4 weeks for the IP6 to be released.

I did it when I did for a bunch of reasons. I wish I could have waited but I couldnt.

I'm positive that the 5S will be worth more going forward because it's got an Apple logo on the back. Maybe in the next month it might not be, but going forward companies like Gazelle stop buying Androids because their value falls faster.

Figured out a solution. Picked up an iPhone 5 for cheap and am returning my galaxy s5. This will cancel my 2 year contract and allow me to lock back in when the iPhone 6 is released.

Depends on the carrier. I liked the AT&T S5 better than the Verizon version. The Verizon version was just too quirky and I don't understand some of the tweaks they made to the phone. Ultimately I miss iOS. So I'm hoping the iPhone 6 will be great!
