1 Time Machine partition;removing Fat32; adding back to TM partition.....how?

Hello,

Apologies if the title was confusing. Let me explain:

I have a portable HDD that has two partitions: 1 Time Machine and 1 Fat32 (so my PS3 and Windows PC can read it). I no longer need the Fat32 partition and would like to take that space and put it back into one Time Machine partition.

I've tried for a while in Disk Utility, to no avail. Am I doing something wrong?

I do not want to blow away my current Time Machine partition in the process.
