Since upgrading my 2013 i7 11" MBA, I've had issues about 60% of the time where waking from sleep after clamshell didn't turn on the screen. I can't tell if the entire machine isn't working or just the screen. But the only solution is to power down by holding the power button, then powering back up.
I don't hear any noises, but I suppose I haven't done anything that would warrant making a noise (like hitting the play button on the keyboard and hoping iTunes kicks in).
Anyone else having a similar issue?
