Good morning,

Since updating to 10.10.5 yesterday, I noticed that my speeds when connected through PIA (using their client) have decreased noticeably. These "benchmarks" were obtained while playing HoTS, my connection is Charter's 60 mbps.

1 - Connected to PIA (Texas), my in game latency is 390-500 ms (was 50 ms on 10.10.4)
2 - Connected to PIA (MidWest), my in game latency is 190-250 ms
3 - Connected to PIA (Mexico), my in game latency is 125-175 ms
4 - No PIA, latency is hovering around 50 ms

I use OpenNIC DNS servers which are suggested for my region (Texas).

Suggestions? Questions that will lead to suggestions are also encouraged.

All my connections got faster... You might want to try to clear the DNS Cache. For Yosemite you would now use this terminal command:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

Apple went back to mDNS with Yosemite 10.10.4

Thank you very much! I launched the command and will report back tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Lemon's solution seems to be a winner. No more pokey internet since.

Thank you!
