As the title says....is 10.11.1 expected to drop today? If not any ideas when? I have never waited for an update so much

I would have expected that they released the Late 2015 iMac models with 10.11.1, but looks like these still came with 10.11 as well.

Fingers crossed.. I still see issues/bugs in 10.11.1

I'm wondering if my clone of 10.11.1 beta 4 will boot the new imac I just got. I can't imagine going back to 10.11.0 it was so bad.

Hopeful about that middle finger emoji might come with some good news about giving the hand sign to the bugs other users are having.

I installed 10.10.1 here on my test machine and everything seems to work much better. The finder lags are gone and the glitches when playing high resolution audio appears to be gone. Later, I'll see if the MS Office 2016 finally works without crashing.

Weird stuff during installation. iTunes could not be verified during install (??). Reboot. iTunes was updated, but 10.11.1 not installed. Downloaded again, reboot and everything ok. Guess Apple's servers overloaded again. Only I see in the Appstore now that iTunes in fact installed twice.

Anyways... looks like that Office 2016 starts up much faster. Oh and that middle-finger Emoiji.. just what I was waiting for.

What is it you're hoping to gain?

That's a strange question??

But as you asked mainly for me the AU VALIDATION problem which stopped me from using lots of plug ins...which has been fixed in this update which is great!

Interestingly, I tried MS Office 2016 pre-15.15, the version that originally crashed on 10.11.0 and it did not crash on 10.11.1. So guess where I want to point that new middle finger Emoji. I really wish companies would take responsibility for their screw ups. The Apple sphere and fan boys were sure quick to denigrate MS IMHO.

I was in the process of downloading the Yosemite installer to roll back to Yosemite and for some reason checked out this forum and saw the 10.11.1 update was rolling out. So instead of doing the clean install of Yosemite, I did the update followed by a clean install. So far, I'm not having Safari issues that have been plaguing me since the El Capitan upgrade. So that's good. (I never had Office 2016 troubles, but I'm not a power user of Office, just light Word/Excel/Powerpoint, but hadn't had any issues under El Capitan regardless.)

I'll be watching my Mac like a hawk today. First beach ball that shows up when browsing or loading an app and it's back to Yosemite I go for the next couple months.

"Resolves an issue that prevents certain Audio Unit plug-ins from functioning"

I'll try it and see if all of the hate that Native Instruments etc. were getting for not "being ready" should in fact be rerouted towards Apple. ;)

Remains useless for me. Word 2011 crashes always when I try to open a doc with clipart, drawings and MathType formulas.
