DP8 has just been released for developers. No release notes yet, but appears to run ok. This one also is a release that can be downloaded as a whole, not just as a delta update from previous releases.

I might be late, but it sept 1 ain't 24 hours old yet so you might be slightly exaggerating. Didn't see no thread though and since usually there is lots of discussion you generally don't have to even scroll to see it.
