Resolved 10.15.3 Update Makes WiFi Reception Bad?

I just finished my 10.15.3 update on the 7,1 Mac Pro and WiFi reception turned to poop. Anyone else experience similar problem?

Why would one use WiFi on a 10Gbps network capable desktop machine ?
To me: wired to me is _the_ way to go.
Except as a secondary network to allow for unlocking with an Apple Watch and airdrop etc.

To answer your question: I've upgraded our MP7,1 to 10.15.3 and see no WiFi issues at all. But then again: they prefer the wired network (still at 1 Gbps - might need to look for a newer switch and a 10Gbps network interface for our synology)

I noticed weird wifi reduction in speed and bluetooth suddenly not connecting even though the mouse woke the computer from sleep.

I had to reset the bluetooth module, will try to restart the wifi router in the morning.

This is on a 5.1 after installing the mojave security update

I use the 10Gbe myself. But that's not the question I posed. You need WiFi for location services and the others you mentioned. And moreover, I like having a computer with all its components working well. Im wacky like that.

My ISP contracts provides me with 200 down and 200 up. I see not change going from 10.15.2 to 10.15.3 using my Wi-Fi 5GHz connection.

Something really weird going on with my machine since the update. I cannot even see my 5GHz network, only the 2.4GHz part of it. I only see 2 networks come up, and normally I see dozens. Very weird.

Just checked my 16" MBP and the update doesn't seem to have affected it negatively. I still see all the hotspots all around me.

So this is weird. Sometimes all WiFi routers don’t even show in the WiFi menu, but airdrop still works fine. The transfer speeds are all the same but for some reason the WiFi menu seems to filter out all possible WiFi routers. It’s almost like if the signal strength isn’t very high, it won’t list them, even though nothing otherwise has changed.

I just did a combo update again on the machine and it’s the same thing....hmmm.

Ok problem resolved. I need to reset NVRAM and SMC. After that everything worked fine. Why it got messed up by the update, who knows.
