10/19 Shipments and beyond

Ordered a 16GB black iPhone from Verizon on the 22nd. Today my card was charged and the box for a tracking number appears now when I try to check the status on the VZW website, but there's no number there yet.

Has anyone seen something like this?

Not really sure what to make of it.

Ordered from Verizon online on 9/28 ship by date 10/26. Talk about underestimating the demand. Stupid me sold my Galaxy Note on Ebay on the 28th. No phone YIKES

Same here, thought I'd have it quicker. I sold my 4S and found a Samsung Intensity II in my sock drawer. Flip out keyboard FTW!

Gets better! I woke on the eighth to an email that Verizon cancelled my order! I called them to see why and what we could do. They said there is no reason why that it must have been a glitch.

The rep then proceeded to tell me that she could place my order again but it would not ship until November 2nd at the earliest!!
I asked how my order was accepted and then processing for 10 days and then gets cancelled and got the typical 10000 I am sorry for your inconvenience.

I called every VZW store and reseller in a 300 mile radius and NO ONE had stock. I stopped in at Best Buy to check on something and talked to the wireless rep. He informed me that someone had cancelled their pre order for a 16gig and that he also had tons of the 64 gig in stock.

I grabbed the 16 gig even though it was white because I didn't get paid yet and couldn't get the 64. He told me he would let me know when they got a black 16gig in and I could swap it.

I may swap it or I may swap it and pay the difference for the 64gig. By the way my white one IS FLAWLESS! But to be honest I liked the 4 build quality better, it was heavier and felt more quality.

Same thing happened here. Except, my Verizon business rep had the order cancel on him. He placed my original order on 9/21, it was cancelled on 9/24 for NO REASON. He ordered again on the 24th and it went through (at least thus far). The ship dates of 10/19 did not change from the 21st to the 24th.

If I were you, I would have demanded to speak to a higher authority than a Verizon CS rep. What happened to you was total crap!

I also had to order over the phone for the discount. I ordered on October 3rd and mine changed to pending shipment today. Has your's changed? I ordered a 16gb black.

I ordered black 16 gig on the 2nd over the phone as well via early upgrade and it said pending shipment almost right away. Hasn't changed though

Mine hasn't changed since the 5th. When I called in I told them I wanted a black 16gb and yesterday I found out that they put the order for a White 16gb. Called at&t and they said I'll have to wait till the phone ships then exchange it in store. The representative told me they are starting to receive stock twice a week.

Have to think you are very close. I am hearing several people that ordered on/around the 22nd are getting status changes.

Ordered a 16GB, Black & Slate, on Verizon at 2:45 PM today, and delivery is estimated between November 14th and November 20th. Boo!
