10.2 screen becomes unresponsive when I plug head phones in

What device? What headphones?

I use EarPods daily and haven't had that experience with iOS 10.2 (or other iOS versions) using iPhone 6.

Mine requires me to lock the screen and then unlock the phone again to make it responsive. I also cannot hear Siri. Using iphone 7 plus, headphone adapter to plug into car.

Sounds like perhaps something related to iPhone 7 using the Lightning port for headphones.
