But... If... Install... No 10 day uptime record... Nooo!!!
It's OK, man. Just edit your uptime when you post it and make it look like it's 10 days (or more). We'll go along. :)

Why 2 different updates?

So why does it say "Build 7M34" instead of 10.3.5?

oopss, I did it again... install without waiting... the update to my iBook is 43 MB and for the eMac, 22,9 MB ... any reason.. steve? hello! any reason?  :(

FWIW, after a staggering 5 minutes or so, I see zero changes. Nothing seems faster, or slower, or different - at all. So those of you rushing home to install it: you can wait.

I'm sure that there must be something new and cool, and absolutely sure that some people will have problems fixed (and caused ;)), but, off the bat, there's nothing all that different.

If you click on the lil' Apple Menu there is now an option for a free Dual 2.5 G5 to be shipped to your home. You missed that option.

Duff-Man says....downloaded and installed on the powerbook, all seems fine so far....will do the desktop when I get home from work....oh yeah!

Oh yeah... except that mine says "Free G5 PowerBook". Maybe because I have the dual-2.0 already. Still - pretty cool! All I have to do is get 5 other members to log onto www.freeG5powerbooks.com and spends some money - hey, we can all help each other out! ;)

tomorrow i shall update... nevertheless... until apple updates their docs
Yeah, surprising that Apple's own support site doesn't mention it.

Oh no, wait. Could this be the first Trojan hack on Software Update? ;) (or ...).

When software update popped up I almost thought it was... I'm so used to reading about the updates here first and I had just checked MacRumors when it popped up. It scared me for a bit... :)

I'm going to hold off the update until I hear from our forum experts that all is well. The iPod 4.0.2 is an example why I want to be safe than sorry.

I think something went wrong during the update...

Well, I dunno if I qualify as a "forum expert", but my B/W G3 hasn't exploded. Does that help? :p

An added advantage of using a Mac at work... you get to use it as the guinea pig before you load software updates onto your own computer at home! :D

I'm installing right now.. I'm I worried? Nope, not in the slightest- just because iPhoto was a bit dodgy ( which didn't lead to any data loss either ) doesn't mean 10.3.5 is also going to be the same...

81%...

Hopefully SE P900 support is better

It happens to the best of us. Unfortunately...it means until you re-install Mac OS X 10.3.5 successfully you're no longer welcome on this Mac forum. I'm sorry, it hurts I know, I've been there. Good luck.

10.3.5 isn't showing up in SU, nor is the security update (which the 10.3.5 update lists as included, so I don't know what's going on there). Ho hum, guess I'll wait until it's available then *twiddles thumbs*.

Someone post some gaming benches! I want to see if the drivers helped.
I don't have any benches, but there is a noticeable improvement in Battlefield 1942. I have a 2.0Ghz G5 with Radeon 9800.

:D
