Much to my amazement, installing the 10.3.9 update on our G4/800 iMac fixes a problem we've had with it ever since it came out of the box -- an inability to go to sleep on automatically. Apparently this was a common (if not universal) problem with G4 iMacs, but now it's fixed -- for us at least. Apple, what took you so long? Now, what about Tiger, I wonder?
