We still have one OS 9 machine on our network.
We have a really good old SCSI scanner that just refuses to work with OS X.

Since updating our server the OS 9 machine has problems.

On login it will mount the 2 share points but as soon as you go to save anything to them or copy anything from them you get the following error:

"The User Authentication method required by this server can't be found. Please check the AppleShare folder in the Extensions folder and try again".

And the servers disappear from the desktop.

there is an AppleShare extension, but no folder in Extensions called AppleShare.

Now, if I go back to Chooser and try to reconnect I get the exact same error message appear. However, if I go to connect using the "Server IP Address..." button it will mount the share points fine (requires user name and password) but will display an error saying the names of the sharepoints are already being used.

    Any ideas?
