I iBunny macrumors 65816 Original poster Jul 17, 2005 #1 Before 10.4.2 I had AVI files playing fine before (when I downloaded DIVX codec thing) Now it appears to not work anymore. I have tried Repair Permissions Reinstalling VLC Reinsalling DIVX What Can I do? Anyother player I can use? etc. THanks

JDOG_ macrumors 6502a Jul 17, 2005 #2 That's very odd. VLC is usually pretty solid about most stuff QT turns it nose up to. Try MPlayer, it's a viable alternative to VLC and sometimes even has a better framerate.

mileslong macrumors 6502 Jul 18, 2005 #4 i think the culprit might be the divx codec. when i frist moved to 10.4 i had the same problem. i had to go back to divx 5.1 instead of 5.2 and it corrected the problem. you might try that.
