Swapped my 10.5 for a 12.9 and have noticed the magnets on the 12.9 keyboard do not behave the same way.
1. On the 10.5 just like on the commercial you can push back on the top of the ipad and it will fold the keyboard into a stored position. Which i found myself doing allot, but on the 12.9 if you try this the ipad will just disconnect and unattach itself from the keyboard because the magnet connection isn’t as strong.
2. On the 10.5 when you fold the cover around the back of the ipad both sides of the Smart Keyboard Cover will magnetically attach to the back of the ipad. Which helps keep it from sliding around in your hands. The 12.9 cover does not do this, the keyboard side has no “stick” at all.
3. On the 10.5 you can close the ipad and the pencil will magnetically stick to the top of the cover which is very useful. On the 12.9 cover this is a no go.
I tried another 12.9 ASK thinking i got a bad one but same results. Seems with the 10.5 they made some QOL improvements and did not do the same for the 12.9. Anyone else go from the 10.5 to 12.9 and notice this?
