I bought my first Mac in october and everything was going great... and then 10.5.6 happened. Now I can't put it to sleep and my wireless is basically a useless piece of junk. What the hell is this ****? when are they going to roll out the new update, because this is infuriating.

I can't use bluetooth on my Mac Pro after 10.5.6. There are other reports of people with the same problem. Very frustrating when you have a BLUETOOTH keyboard. I'm patiently waiting for 10.5.7.

I thought it was Comcast for a long time until some friends came over and I was proven wrong.

I have a buddy that it just recently started happening to. It seemed to be right at the same time I saw threads popping up for it to. I just find it really strange that this is happening to so many people all of the sudden. Hopefully the 10.5.7 update fixes things.

Problems here too.

Yeah, after 10.5.6 I have noticed problems too. Not so much with firmware, but the UI. Some software as well.

I've never had problem with mine. It came preinstalled. And as far as bluetooh... I havent tested it. I dont have any Bluetooth device that I can connect to my Mac. My iPhone doesnt connect via Bluetooth.

NOt sure if I noticed any issues w/ 10.5.6, since I'm blaming Safari 4 for my wheel of death, but sure am looking forward to new update.

You may want to browse the Airport Forums/ threads on the Apple Community site.

My network got zonked and removing the Airport Utility plist restored full functionality.

My Gundam Wing DVDs are spit out by my MacBook but work just fine on my Windows machine?

That's the only problem I have here.

Sounds like your MB has decent taste then.

I've had no issues with 10.5.6
I haven't watched the show since it had aired on Toonami. I'm going to have to watch Evangelion next.

Every other commercial DVD works on my Macbook and so does the first collection of Gundam Wing DVDs (1-25)

So what'd you spill, and are we going to see a "I spilled xxxx on my keyboard, what should I do?" thread?

I spilled computer coolant.

I know what I should do. I took a vacuum, and sucked all the crap out, and only 3 or 4 of the keys were sucked off! Woohoo!

I bought my MacBook after 10.5.6 came out. I haven't been able to connect to my home Wi-Fi network although my brother's HP laptop and my iPod touch can. Could it just be 10.5.6? If so, how do I downgrade to 10.5.5?

Wait, so when you guys talk about wireless problems what do you mean?

I keep getting these "Self-assigned IP address" problems, but only every now and then. Happens at the school wifi mostly. But I never had problem with my other UMBP's and they had 10.5.6 as well.

I should also mention that I called Applecare and the guy said it was because of my router using "older, unsecure, WEP encryption". Has anyone else been told this when contacting about wireless problems?
