10.5.7 mini Video Playback is WAY better!

    So glad that video playback is so much better. Especially HD.

    What you mean by this "WAY better"? there is a hardware acceleration at all?

    How can a software update introduce a hardware acceleration? :confused:

    By adding code that allows using the exisitng GPU to decode video as opposed to the existing code which only utilises the CPU

    OK! I'll give you that one! :)

    I do find it hard to believe that EARLIER versions of the software DIDN'T already make use of the GPU before, though.

    I think it's across all lines. I know my MacBook Pro runs way cooler when playing videos off HDD and online.
