10.5.8: 2 Macs, 2 different build numbers??

Just got around to updating to 10.5.8 on my 2008 Mac Pro (a few days ago), and my early 2009 uMBP 17" (today).

I installed 10.5.8 on both from Software Update. Both were previously at 10.5.7.

My Mac Pro is showing a build number of 9L30, but my MacBook Pro is showing 9L31a.

Did Apple secretly update the 10.5.8 update package recently? Or did they create different builds for different machines?

Anyone else see differing version numbers?

Doesn't the unibody line have a different build, due to the multitouch trackpad?

For 10.5.8, could be.

Though, with 10.5.7 both my machines had the same build number.
