10.5.8 and Safari 3?

I've seen that 10.5.8 includes Safari 4.0.2. Does it only update you if you're on an earlier version of Safari 4, or will it upgrade from 3 as well?

I'm thinking about installing 10.5.8 but I need Safari 3 for work.

It appears that it upgrades safari to 4.02 regardless of what version you may have installed, i.e., 3. So at the end of the 10.5.8 update process you will have safari 4 even if you didn't want it.
