10.5 can't do Screen Sharing to 10.3

I got an old PowerMac G4 from work yesterday. Replaced the HD, installed OSX 10.3 and applied all the updates.

File sharing works fine, but it seems I just can't connect to the G4 via Screen Sharing, though Remote Desktop is activated. I searched several sites which claimed it should be possible, so what could I possibly have done wrong?
 
I think you have to install Remote Desktop (on your G4) for it to work. Make sure it's updated to 10.3.9.
