Likely 3GB minimum. The chances of the new 10.5 iPad Pro having less RAM than the iPhone 7 Plus is pretty low.

With the new multitasking features for iOS 11, probably 4GB minimum is more prudent. Then again, Apple can be quite stingy with RAM.

You have to wait till the breakdown which would be fairly soon to find out if it has more than 2 GB of RAM. Apple never announces ram on the keynote.

Apple never says anything about RAM on their mobile devices. No one will no for sure until reviewers have it in their hands and can run benchmarks.

I'm quite sure it's not 2GB (so 3GB or more), as on a 9.7" Pro when attempting 3 apps at once the 2 in split screen go inactive, while on the 12.9 and the new Pros they definitely don't.

Sounds good. It will be really annoying if it doesn't have > 2GB.

However the iPad Pro 9.7" is now neither here nor there. Very annoying.

Like many have said, Apple doesn't release that information, so you'll have to wait until it makes into reviewers hands to find out for sure. My guess is since the resolution is higher than the 9.7" iPad Pro it will get more than 2 GB, but since the resolution is lower than the 12.9" iPad it may not get 4 GB. 3 GB is a possibility, but that may not be easy to do if the A10X is dual channel (which all previous X versions have been), but I suppose 1.5 GB per channel isn't out of the question. Sorry, that was kind of a non-answer...

Honestly I thinking pretty clear that the device has 4 gigs
Both, the 12.9 inch and the 10.5 inch versions are declared to have a 2,5 times faster CPU and a 4.3 times faster gpu than a8
The iPad Pro 9.7 otherwise was declared to be a bit slower in the comparison with the old 12.9 inch version

I hope you guys understand what I mean, I m sorry but my English ist not so well

The 9.7 had an underclocked CPU, though. The 10.5 can have the same clocked CPU and GPU, yet still have less RAM. I am hoping for 4GB also.

What feature is requiring 4Gb? Have there been tests on that feature for IPP 9.7?

The pro 9.7" with 2gb RAM can only run 1 slide over app, with the main app plus PiP. So potentially 3 things on screen.

The pro 12.9" with 4gb RAM, and the new pros on display at WWDC can run 2 slide over apps and a main application plus PiP. So 4 apps on screen.

So that 'feature' is more than likely requiring more than 2gb RAM.

If those features don't show up on 9.7 that would be slightly disappointing..
But at the same time.. anyone who is trying to do 4 things on a 10 inch screen is just trying to show off in my book. On my retina 2015 13" MBP, I don't even like 2 apps. On the larger iPad Pro it makes more sense.

Not especially, twitter in mobile view, safari, notes app slide over to note something. PiP watching tv or something. Not exactly showing off :/

Maybe it's just how we use our machines.... I have mini 4 and iPad Pro 9.7... and never/ rarely use PIP, and slide over use is only slightly more utilized. I really only use slide over to quickly access Apple TV remote while I'm in safari while watching a tv show on my tv.

RAM doesn't really matter that much as a numerical value. You've got to know what's behind it and how efficient it is when supplemented with the other spec. Just wait for some performance tests and reviews, that's what you want to see.

In my experiences, RAM on iPads is the primary indicator.
