I am running Leopard on a ~year old MacBook Pro (2.33GHz C2D 2GB RAM 200GB 4200RPM hard drive), I have noticed that the magnification on the dock isn't as smooth as it was with Tiger (or the non-glass Leopard dock). What is your experience with this? Can the glass dock really be that more graphics intensive?

Unchanged for me between Tiger and Leopard, on both machines. (PowerMac G5 and original CD MacBook Pro).

Brand new MBP 2.2 Smooth as butter on leopard and choppy as hell on a clean install of leopard.

I posted another thread in this forum, please check it out and add your obsrvations

ive got the 3D dock on my iBook and it is a little choppy to tell the truth.....nothing a software update couldnt fix i imagine😛

I guess it would be useful to know how many apps are in your dock. Im not near my computer at the moment, but whrn i return to it I will post how many i have.

--Cheers

The movement of my icons are "pixellated". The icons don't move continuously when my mouse moves over the icons. The icons move along in jumps of 3 pixels or something like that and their sizes only change when they jump along the dock. I only have 11 items on my dock.
