    Hi all

    I all I am using a mac pro and cinema display 27"

    I've recently noticed that the keyboard shortcuts for brightness f1 and f2 no longer work, also the brightness slider in display preferences has also disappeared

    Check the USB connection from the monitor to the MP.

    keyboard layout

    have NO idea if this is the answer, but Apple have changed the layout on the new kb's to accommodate Lion. I know some of the top row keys are different.

    I don't think that is it.

    F3 = Expose > Mission Control
    F4 = Dashboard > Launchpad

    I got a new Lion keyboard
