10.8.1 solved ALL my RMBP problems.

Battery is fixed. Scrolling in Safari became awesome, and absolutely no crashes, no problems at all. Will upload a video when I get back from school

Can others chime in on whether they see an improvement in lag due to the update?

I actually started getting lag in FB AFTER 10.8.1

Still have the screen tearing and text disappearing issues with Safari... Oh, and the battery life took a dump too... Apple's QA [ IT ] seems to suck now!!!

Update without any Apple beer goggles: laggy on retina display before, just as laggy after. No change.

Played with a rMBP yesterday and while the display is phenomenal, scrolling was definitely subpar on sites like Verge. Frame rate was slowed down or something. Made it difficult to read when slowly scrolling through an article which is something I do an awful lot of.

Alyshehata - glad to hear your problems are fixed. How's your battery life?

I haven't seen much improvement. I have a 16GB 2.6GHz MBPr, running only Safari and Finder apps, Dropbox syncing off, no keyboard backlight, and am seeing 6:04 at 91%. Using gfxcard doesn't seem to help a ton here, either.

I guess ~6:30 isn't too bad, but it would be nice to feel like I could use that without having to go into active measures of battery saving...

Practical battery life is closer to 4:30...
