Hello there

I ordered Mac mini M6 with the option of 10 GbE. I was wondering how’s the experience with it from users that have such capacity.

What do you use this speed for and what’s your setup?

I’ll use mine to upgrade my media server (Usenet) but my ISP speed is limited at 7.5 Gbps.

Got an older studio with 10GbE, it's a port & does what it says, albeit my ISP is 1/3 speed of yours. I got it for my network, but find even 10Gb massively gimped from the TB2 I moved from.

I had (large) file copies over SMB reaching 900 MB/sec. It works fine, provided you have the matching storage (NVMe blades) and 10G network switches.
iperf3 benchmark usually gives me 9.2 Gbits/sec between M1 / M2 Macs.

ISP service that does 750 MB/sec? I'm jealous.

I ordered the 10GbE option for my M4 Pro Mini to allow for a potential ISP speed bump from 1G to 2.5G - which happened a month after receiving the Mini. Probably would stay with the stock 2.5G port if buying a new Mini. Don't know how well the port works at 10G, but seems to be running fine at 2.5G.
