Is 10 hour usage time normal for the plus? I was hoping for a bit more. I'm talking actual usage not standby.

Give it a week or so of discharge cycles for the battery to calibrate.

P.S. 10 hours of on screen usage is awesome battery life.

10 hour usage iPhone 6+

Specs:

Talk time: Up to 24 hours on 3G

Internet use: Up to 12 hours on 3G, up to 12 hours on LTE, up to 12 hours on WiFi

HD Video Playback: Up to 14 hours

Audio playback: Up to 80 hours

Standby time: Up to 16 days (384 hours)

I get 10+ hours from my regular 6 so I would expect quite a bit more from the 6+, but also depends on what that usage is made up of.

I was getting around 11-12 hours usage with 30 hours standby the first 2 cycles. The last cycle i only got 9 hour usage with 18 hours standby... i didnt change my setup or usage habits. It could be a faulty battery, genius appt on Tuesday.

I've found I've also had less usage time out of the battery after the last couple of charges, my best was after the first full charge.

I'm only on my second cycle right now. Neither of the cycles were amazing as reviews made them out to be.

same here i seemed to get best usage after first charge but not as good since, do you all have auto brightness on, I've had mine on full brightness as love bright screens but presume this will take massive hit on battery???

The thing is i had auto brightness on and pretty much every default, out of box settings and i was getting pheonomenal usage. When i noticed less usage on one of the cycles i did turn off a few things afterwards to see if the usage increased (background app refresh OFF, most system services OFF, auto brightness OFF, and since TMobile offers WiFi Calling i decided to put my phone on Airplane Mode with WiFi ON to save that extra battery) and that amazing battery life i got on the first couple cycles is nowhere near good. Looking like how my fresh, new 5 battery used to get.

Some people are expecting significantly increased screen on time, which just isn't happening. It's got only about 15% more screen on time (wifi/lte browsing) than the iPhone 6, which is itself mostly on par with the 5S.

Where you're going to see improvements is screen off/standby time. So you'll be a hotspot or music player much longer.

Definitely sub par compared to other people's usage.

10 hours doing what?

At what screen brightness?

Bluetooth? Wifi? What is your cell signal strength?

You realize how making these comparisons is a bit on the pointless side without any controlled testing.

You're right. I find that cell signal strength has a humongous impact on battery life. A weak cell signal will just kill the battery.

By the way, does anyone know what's actually running for the "Home and Lock screen"?

I get about 1 hour for every 10% on my 5S, 6 and 6+. Doesn't seem like any come out ahead.

UP TO 12 hours.

UP TO.

Not always 12. 10 hours of on screen time is exceptional. Lol at the guy who thinks he has a faulty battery because it didn't last as long one time.

Brightness is around half.

After 3 years I get 5 hours on my 4s. 10 hours is iPad territory. 10 hours is awesome. It's what we were waiting for. If 10 hours isn't enought you're ought to be put into some mental facility. A day is 24 hours. 7-8 you sleep. add some eating\showering etc. You use your iPhone for 70-80% of your day? Cmon man, you can't live inside your iPhone.

I'm getting about 10 hours and can go two days without recharging.
Also, if I use the bigger 12 Watt adapter to charge, it charges from dead to full in a tad over 2 hours!
I'LL TAKE IT!:):):)

I'm only getting around 7-8 hrs at most from my 6+.. I think I really need to set it up as a new device. It's been a few years since I've set up as new.

I got 11 hours of use out of my iPhone 6's first charge. I agree that the Plus should be seeing a bit more.
