Well about the brown color leaks I think it will be close to gold just like iPhone 16 pro leaks which end up being desert titanium it is very possible they go with gold in 2026 begin 50th anniversary of apple.

But my dream iPhone is full tandem oled display with under screen camera and 200mp back camera which is mostly like will be iPhone 21 in 2028 has per the leaks.

Not happy to hear that the next Pro will be bigger and heavier. I only buy the Pro because it has the best cameras, and nothing else. What is the legacy of any of these phones in our lives? It’s only the photos and videos we take with them. I don’t think about what I had three iPhones ago. But I do look at the photo memories from that time. So I wish Apple would use the Pro for other Pro features. I don’t need a bigger battery if the sacrifice is heft. Gimme an Air with your best cameras.
Bigger and heavier so the FOLD feels like an A4 piece of paper and you’ll buy that 2499 phone

Excited for the more power-efficient 2nm chip so why the thicker phone / battery? Seems like they’re trying to meet some marketing spec of 48 hrs battery life…

Thicker is not the move. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is like a brick next to the iPhone Air.

If you want the best camera, you have to go thicker ... optics 101. The Air will never have the best camera unless the camera bump gets (unacceptably?) larger. Of course, many people people will be happy with a less-than-perfect camera, if it means the phone is thinner and lighter. Even a "less-than-perfect" phone camera as in the Air is pretty impressive.

Sometimes Apple makes a top-tier component, as they've done well with the Apple silicon chips. But the cellular tech they bought from Intel and the Qualcomm patents that they won't be allowed to use in their own chip design means that it's basically impossible for Apple to make a better cellular baseband than Qualcomm can.
On Air I can hear the person I'm talking to on a cellular connection better than on the iPhone 16, which I had before.

Will there be a Product Red version?
Maybe a Plus version, since all versions now have ProMotion so No need for the Pro Max model.
Otherwise, a new battery for my 13 PM is sufficient to last another few years until Apple stops supporting it.

"We don't know the exact reason for the alleged thicker design of the iPhone 18 Pro".

Revenge.
"People don't appreciate the iPhone Air? Fine. We'll give them thicker phones. That'll teach them!"

Because they cant innovate anymore.

I don't think that's true at the engineering level ... I know several Apple engineers and they are really excellent and creative. The problem is that the Apple bean-counters are ONLY interested in money, and drip-feed the incremental iPhone"advances" year by year. You can just imagine the conversations currently taking place: "no, let's hold that feature for the 2035 release ...".

To me, it's a tragedy that Apple management has lost its way. They have a lot of good employees who would like to restore Apple to more creative times. (I would count the iPod product in that, 5 different embodiments with different features and different price points from the Shuffle to the iPod Classic. They all played music but were all different. Why can't we have very different iPhones instead of all-the-same bricks?)

The 40% margin is a millstone around Apple's neck. They HAVE to maintain it so that investors and senior employees can be rewarded excessively. They don't care if if we consumers love the company or not, as long as we shell out staggering sums of money to upgrade our devices year on year.

All minor improvements compared to the 17 Pro. I have the 17 Pro Max in Orange. It is a wonderful phone and I like the bright orange color. It is good to see continuous camera improvements each year. As for the colors, a proper red color for the Pro models will be good. I will not be upgrading and waiting to see what the 20th anniversary model will bring.

I skip till my iphone 15 pro had at least 2 battery replacements over the span of at least 6 years.
I do not give a **** about AI, fancy camera`s and i barely use any apps on it.

I am smartphone fatigued

Sounds like the usual minor camera improvement. Might be time to move down from the 16 Pro Max to the non-max model if the cameras remain as good as the Max model. Zero interest in any folding phone.

After the 13 pro max, I bought a Samsung s23 ultra. Amazing camera, zoom, and S pen.
I now made my way back to a iPhone 17 pro and it’s just perfection. The ultra watch 3 also is awesome to use. Such a great experience. Truly better than anything else on market. The way you can transition from messaging, to camera, to safari, back to email is unmatched. My wife has the 16 pro max. Also a stunning a phone and the titanium is just heaven.

yeah, I was just gifted a 16 pro, and I'm pretty infatuated with it. Someone should check my pulse, because I always said "...from my cold, dead hands" about giving up my midnight green 11 pro, but the leap in tech and inevitable incredible build quality is really awesome to experience.

Meh, my iPhone 15 pro max will get updated when they can finally make it all screen, completely hiding the front camera

Other than that it’s all just slightly better specs
I’ve been saying the same thing since iPhone 11 haha. I’ll hold onto that until Apple brings out something truly innovative. Ironically the most innovation in future iPhones seem to be coming from Samsung with its creaseless folding display and sensor tech and TSM with 2nm.

Only reason I upgraded to the 15 from my X was type C (thank you EU!)

Foldables are cool, but the durability leaves a LOT to be desired. Until they stop using plastic screens it’s a non starter for me (you can scratch them with your fingernail)
