Personally I've been in hospital once, when I was somewhere between 10 and 15. I was running around in the dark (stupid) and tripped, and knocked my head on a metal table. It missed my right eye by about half a cm, and I can still see the remains of the scar if I squint (I'm 22 now).

I only spent about an hour in hospital from that though, then a quick visit to the doctor a week later to get the stitches removed. It's scary though, because I almost lost my eye

I did something similar when I was little. I think I was somewhere around 6 or 7. I was brushing my teeth (no! anything but that!), standing on a little stool (not a stool!), when I slipped off and hit my head on the corner of the counter, a very sharp corner. I, too, missed my eye by about a a half a centimeter and got stitches. Although I think I've finally lost my scar (I'm just about 19 now).

I also have been to the emergency room for stitches on one other occasion, when I nearly broke my wrist, when I nearly broke a finger, and when I got a concussion. I'd have to say the concussion was the most embarrassing. Let's just say that it involved playing croquet, the most dangerous of all sports. To be fair, I was only 8.

So long as you don't do it to me.

I found some of them odd, #10 was the only one that really stood out as "What the hell?"

The word should be it. Meaning that using a jack hammer can do internal damage also, many times the kidney. It all the vibration that does the damage.

I'm sorry for the error.

That was a quick reply!

Yeah, it was a teaser. The waterfall was only a couple of metres high so it's really a non-story.

You could waste some time by crossposting Slashdot articles into the Current Events forum

NB: I am not actually suggesting that anyone do this.

Unless it's interesting news :)

We forgive you. I guess that it should be 'it' but it was more fun to make fun of the lack of the 't' in it. ;)
