Moving definitely helps - until I had lived in the same flat for three years, I'd moved every year at least, and that made a huge difference. Especially when you did the moving yourself, and all the flats were up several flights of stairs. But then living in the same flat for three years, and it having a patio, meant I was all "Ooh, that might be a useful large, irregularly shaped piece of stained plywood". :D

I think I could, but I think it would certainly be difficult to reduce your possesions as they stand now. If you lost everything in a freak accident it would be interesting how you would go about building it all up. I actually kind of fantasise about that - not the freak accident part, but having to start over with everything and what you would choose to spend your massive whopping insurance payment on. :D

Of course, if I fantasise about it, why not just get rid of it, no? <slaps self>

I do like the idea of inventorising (is that a word?) everything - justifying why you have it.
