I was looking through the apple store for printers under $100 and was wondering if I could get some sage buying advice. I'll be taking this printer with me to my college dorm but won't be relying on it as there are many free printers on campus. It'll be there to scan notes and print the occasional 'rush' paper.

    Here are my options:
    Epson Stylus NX420 All-in-One Printer- $99.95
    Lexmark Intuition S505 All-in-One- $99.95
    HP Deskjet 3054 All-in-One Printer (J610a)- $99.95

    Thanks in advance!

    I went with the Epson Workforce 630 - $149.95

So with the $100 Rebate it comes to about $50 out of pocket.

The Epson Stylus NX420 comes across as the highest rated among these printers.

I've also heard nothing but bad things about HP Printers.

AirPrint seems like a great additional feature.
But most these printers equipped with AirPrint have poor customer ratings. :(

Besides, WiFi enabled printers can do essentially the same tasks.

Don't know too much about Lexmark. Never had one.

Epson printers seems to work well with Apple computers.

But if your trying to get the best printer for under $100.

Go with the Epson Stylus NX420

    :apple:
